About Us

We are a multi-species junior and high school student angler fishing team.
Our club, CI Bluejacket Anglers, is open to youth anglers ages 7–18. We provide hands-on fishing experiences while teaching proper fish handling, boater and ice safety, fishing techniques, and more.
In addition, anglers have the opportunity to participate in fishing tournaments and events, and they are expected to volunteer with local non-profit organizations. We encourage our older anglers to serve as mentors and develop leadership skills while working alongside our coaches and younger anglers.
This is a year-round club, offering educational activities and fishing opportunities throughout all seasons—including ice fishing in the winter.
Anglers
We welcome anglers of all skill levels and encourage anyone to join, whether they are just starting out or have years of experience. Our club hosts its own derbies and tournaments exclusively for Bluejacket anglers.
There are also opportunities to compete in the Student Angler Federation (SAF), The Bass Federation (TBF), and MN Jr. BASS Nation. At these tournaments, anglers may qualify to advance to regional or national competitions, where they can even compete for college scholarships.
These tournaments rely on dedicated volunteers who generously donate their boats and time to take our anglers out on the water. Participation in these competitive events is separate from our club activities and requires additional time, money, and commitment from both anglers and parents
The Team
Now in our 8th year (2025), our team continues to grow both as a club and as individual anglers. We’re fortunate to live in an area with an abundance of lakes and rivers, and many of our families are outdoor enthusiasts who share a passion for fishing.
Over the years, several of our high school teams have qualified for the Tournament of Champions (TOC) to compete against some of the best in the state. We’re excited to build on that success and aim to place even higher as a team in the future.
